So what do you think? Is the dress a yes or a no?

Mine is definitely (I’ll resist saying ‘maybe’ >.<) Don't Believe The Truth. Awesome album with many great tracks. It's got a retro 60's feel to it, and all the b-sides to the singles are amazing also!

BQ: Which do you think was the most underrated?
IMO it's Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants. Nice harder rock feel to it than the rest of their stuff!

fulton350 asked:

At my school they all listen to the same music all that pop shite, Eminem, Soulja Boy etc and I have been saying that they should listen to albums like Dark Side of the Moon, Morning Glory, Grace. Personally I like a lot of different music Public Enemy, Elvis, Sinatra, Oasis and RATM amongst others.

But are most teenagers too narrow minded when it comes to music.

Im 15 BTW

What are some of your favorite artists that wear their influences on their sleeve?

Mike AKA Mike asked:

This question came to mind last night as I was listening to the newest Supagroup album. Lead vocalist Benji Lee channels the spirit of Bon Scott on every song, vocally and lyrically. All three of their albums could have come from a modern day Scott fronted AC/DC.
Another obvious example is Oasis… you don’t have to listen for more than a few seconds to realize that The Beatles are stamped all over them.
Jake – That’s cool, but “Hot for Teacher” was by Van Halen… your education continues young padawan.

why make a band when there’s lots of bands already, and they will go down in cycle anyway?

dinkotddr asked:

I used to be so motivated & enthusiastic in forming a band (here in Indonesia, my home country), since people told me that i have a huge musical talent that would be unfortunate if not used.
but it’s not until i’ve found one fact: there are already LOTS & lots of bands (good or bad) already outside, and from what i’ve seen here in my home country, most of them will just ‘died-out’ or go down in music cycle. a band’s cycle is usually short, only lasts for top 3 or 4 years, after that…they ‘died’ , and will be replaced by another “trendy” band. and so on.. my dad often uses this argument to discourage me for making career in music (or in band), point to it (music career) as a short-living career, and “wasting time”, and he pushed me to go for career in business (which unfortunately i lack skill, and even passion at. i view myself as very creative & imaginative person, not so much of logical & business-minded person).

but back to the band-cycle thing again, do you think my dad’s words is true or not?
well, to be fair, i’ve found SOME bands/musicians/artists even here in Indonesia, who’ve still lasted long, and keep making music. and from what i’ve seen, it’s either they’re really talented artists/bands/musicians that kept producing great, innovative, and evolving music, or they have strong image that’s so unforgettable, or both. ie: look at Beatles, Queen, for example. even Oasis still produce albums, right?.. so is my dad’s opinion wrong?
i’m confused here.

emma mckelvie ♥ asked:

i’m watching the brit awards and oasis won some sort of award for their album ‘whats the story morning glory?’ and noel went on stage to accept the award. he was obviously a tad drunk/stoned [hahaha] and he [from what anyone can tell; because the sound was blanked] basically said fxck oasis, and threw the award into the crowd.

i love oasis! they’re songs were amazing. and i really really regret not going to see them before they split up for good, because it’s now too late. they were amazing. even if liam and noel could never get along.

but seeing that on the awards there, just made me realise how much i missed the band ♥

i mean liam gallagher, not noel haha!
