I think the Beatles are really good, but over hyped.
I think Oasis suffers from the “Tom Cruise” effect, meaning their outside behavior blinds people from their true talent. If Oasis didn’t claim to be bigger that “Jesus/God/Beatles” and get banned from airlines and get into bar brawls …. then their image would make them a popular ticket …. Oasis has many brilliant songs ….!! Just my humble opinion.
no way … I’m sorry … comparing albums sold is down right ridiculous …. that just shows you’re popular ….. does that mean that Britney Spears is more talented than Bob Dylan?????
to make it even crazier for you …. I think the song “the importance of being idle” by Oasis is a better tune than any Beatles song ….. not to mention “Supersonic”, “Talk Tonight”, “Underneath the Sky”, “Don’t look back in anger”, “Stop crying your heart out”, “Some might say” and, of course, “Wonderwall” and many many more!
“Gas Panic!” from the 2000 album Standing on the Shoulder of Giants performed live on Later… with Jools Holland.

Great performance of an epic song, IMO. Noel Gallagher especially shines.
Your thoughts? (Oasis fan or not.)
I’m a massive Oasis fan, and i absolutely love their new song “shock of lightning”
I’m just wondering how that new album of theirs compares with their older albums
has anyone heard it? liked it?
Your opinions are greatly appreciated!
the album is called “dig out your soul”
the album is called “dig out your soul”
Everyone seems to think it is weak but i can’t get enough of it. I wish more bands would venture into the realm of psychedelic rock.
This album is so raw and emotional and it motivates me to run harder. Does anyone have a favorite album that they like to listen to while doing something else- like cooking, cleaning the house, painting, driving, etc. etc? If so, please tell me the name of the artist, album and what activity goes well with it.
ok- maybe i need to clarify myself a little better. Doeesn’t anyone know that Pink Floyd (only Dark Side on) always sounds better in winter. And the best time to listen to Radioheads Ok Computer for your first time is in the early months of spring? Maybe I’m not making sense…Just tell me what music you like with what- thats all!
There are several albums and songs that are available on the UK and UK iTunes store that just aren’t existent on the Australian one.
I’m assuming I can’t make an account on the UK iTunes store, because you have to pay in pounds, and you can only buy iTunes cards in AUS dollars here in Australia (duh).
I am just really annoyed because there is no Beatles, ACDC and many other great bands on the Australian iTunes store. I’m especially upset that they’re missing several Oasis albums – including Heathen Chemistry – which has Stop Crying Your Heart Out and Little by Little – two great songs.
Is there some way to acquire these songs somehow? Without resorting to nasty Limewire?
Well, thank you everyone – ^^
Just a note though, I do buy iTunes cards, but the thing is I can’t use them to buy the songs on the UK store, because the cards aren’t in pounds.
Also, re. Limewire – look do what you like, but I prefer giving the artists some credit. And you don’t know WHAT you’re downloading.
I suppose if the eBay thing doesn’t work out (great idea, btw!) I’ll just have to buy the whole album from Sanity or something. Kinda ***** – the best thing about iTunes is that you can buy songs on their own.
Seems like Oasis don’t chart their songs or their albums anymore, is there a particular reason to reject the Gallagher Bros.?
