There's a lot of good bands out there that don't get any top charting songs.
No big deal,. Being number one on charts doesn't make the bands bad.

Mostly because I **** Oasis.
They're all so into themselves, and say the stupiest things that keep me from listening to them in the first place.
And if a song happens to slip by into my ears, they all sound the same to me. They've lost any unique sound.

I heard a bit of their newer stuff and it was boring, that's probably why they didn't do too well here.

I like their songs, actually, but their egos are grating, and somehow even manage to affect my views on their music. I would probably love them if they didn't truly believe they are the greatest band on Earth, untouchable by all.

But they're not the greatest band on Earth, and because they insist that all these other bands I love are mediocre, and are lucky to bask in their greatness, I have little to no respect for them.

The US gets a lot of grief for being an egotistical country, but I don't believe there is anyone in the world as conceited and self-absorbed as Liam Gallagher.

well originally when they came stateside they were in the right place at the right time. they fell into the "collage rock" genre and were huge...for about four songs. don't look back in anger & all around the world are still two of my personal favorites.

I believe everyone hates them because they suck, and their lame. I'd say that's why.

...I like Oasis...

This happens to lots of bands from across the pond, though. Apparently, the US is content with the music we have (excuse me while I throw up in my mouth a bit), so we don't chart anything good anymore. That's why I download all the UK bands I can find.
