Oasis – What’s the story (Morning Glory)
Just because it’s got some really good songs on it.

Oasis…..Thats a great album. Takes me back.

All great albums. Had to think about Nevermind and AFD. But i know that today if i had to choose which album to listen to i would picke AFD. so i that would be my choice. I think the anger is true, the moments of compassion are true, you can really feel what these guys were going through circa LA in the mid 80′s. Feels real to me.

    Nirvana – Nevermind.

Because it is, simple as that. :D

I’m not even going to answer that.
    That is too hard…

  7. kcini8 - May 8th, 2010 at 9:14 pm

Guns N Roses and Nirvana because I love their sound

  8. ixmercury - May 11th, 2010 at 10:48 pm

Appetite…solid throughout…set the stage for the other 4 you mention.

  9. Marc S - May 11th, 2010 at 10:52 pm

What’s the story, simply because if I heard any of the others, I would have to turn them off; bad music makes me angry.

Guns N Roses- Appetite For Destruction.

I love Nevermind, but Appetite is a much better album. I have never been a Metallica fan, and I **** Pearl Jam.

  11. RHCPlindsey - May 14th, 2010 at 10:22 am

pearl jam because it’s a beautiful piece of music. i like it a lot.

Oasis – Whats the Story (Morning Glory)

They are all great albums but my favourite would have to be Oasis’ album, just my personal preference, I have been an Oasis fan for more years than I care to remember and still love all their stuff! =]

  13. Call Me Emily - May 17th, 2010 at 2:54 pm

    Pearl Jam- Ten
it’s Pearl Jam. what else can i say? i like them.

  14. Capodastaro - May 18th, 2010 at 5:56 am

Guns n’ Roses – Appettite For Destruction

    a fantastic album

although Pearl Jam – Ten was an amazing album

  15. Acelynk - May 18th, 2010 at 8:17 am

Guns ‘N Roses – Appetite For Destruction

Because the other ones only have a handfull of good songs on them while G’NR’s album every song great! There isn’t one bad song on the whole thing! The other four all have songs on them I skip when listening to it. I never skip a song on Appetite For Destruction. After that I’d put Metallica as the second choice, then Pearl Jam, then Nirvana, then Oasis. As I’m typing that I just noticed that is the exact order you put them. Hmmmm?! Is that the order you like them too?

P.S. I might switch the order of Pearl Jam and Nirvana depending on my mood on a different day.

  16. JT - May 21st, 2010 at 12:40 pm

Uh, the Black Album even though I liked their sound before the change.

    Nirvana-Nevermind

  18. piglet12321 - May 26th, 2010 at 11:09 am

i would say nirvana mainly because they are an awesome band one of my favs out of the list.

    Nevermind is seriously overrated.
Ten is actually much better than Never mind in my opinion.
im not really a fan of heavy metal, but i like grunge. Oasis however is going to get my vote. Whats the story(morning glory) is really great, its one of my favorites.

  20. lostsoul - May 30th, 2010 at 12:11 pm

    appetite for destruction.

It always makes me feel 14 again.

Oasis – Whats the story (Morning Glory)

  22. mikeydred - May 31st, 2010 at 8:45 pm

Nevermind by Nirvana – It has Smells Like Teen Spirit and Dave Grohl on Drums!!!

  23. Andrew M - June 4th, 2010 at 1:26 am

    Of those choices:

    What’s the Story (Morning Glory)

even though Nevermind is amazing, that particular Oasis record just has some really class songs…

….but if the Metallica choice had been “Master of Puppets”, well, there would have been no contest! MOP is my fave album of all time.

GNR are well over-rated, and I could never get into Pearl Jam. Soundgarden. Yup. AIC. Oh, yeah. Nirvana. Too right. PJ. Nope!

Not making it easy r u, they r all great in their own right however if i had to choose one only then Guns and roses.

  25. ordiofile - June 8th, 2010 at 3:02 am

Personally, Appetite for Destruction. I bought it at Woolworths in 1989 in Bridlington with my boyfriend. Now married and still gigging like kids.

  26. kaitmend - June 8th, 2010 at 10:37 pm

    Pearl Jam – Ten

    first album I ever owned.
Pearl Jam is my favorite band.

it doesn’t have any ‘skip songs’ – its one of those cds you can just put on and let it play through.

Nevermind and Appetite are a VERY close 2nd and 3rd.

  27. sabes99 - June 12th, 2010 at 12:44 am

i think nevermind is the best…among those it is the best written and produced and really set off the popularity of the grunge sound as a whole…appetite for destruction is a pretty close second, but nevermind was deeper in terms of great songs and content

  28. rockchick.33 - June 12th, 2010 at 9:01 pm

well im a big metallica fan, but i prefer their first four albums, so im gonna say appettite for destruction
