bananasoup12 asked:

When Oasis released their greatest hits album Stop The Clocks, a lot of people moaned about what songs were missing from it.

I didn’t even buy it & I consider myself to be a big fan. Noel admitted himself he was pressured to do it from the record bosses & as a result it didn’t please the real fans. Upload the albums & create your own greatest hits. Can’t wait for the gig at the Cov

As said earlier they were pressurised by the then record company to release the best of/greatest hits type album. But if anyone is a real oasis fan they will get all the songs(both A & B sides)so they wouldn’t need to buy stop the clocks.

Any song written after the ‘Be Here Now’ album can be considered simply not good enough in my opinion. The single ‘Go Let It Out’ was okay, but apart from that, Oasis went seriously downhill after the 1997 album.

I was a massive fan (and still am of the early albums) but I feel the fact that Liam and (to a lesser extent) Noel are a couple of prize prats really killed the band’s chances of success over in America. Their MTV Unplugged where Liam sat getting p*ssed with Kensit whilst Noel sang really killed the band. Nothing wrong with Noel’s singing, but it showed what a farce it was becoming when the lead singer doesn’t/can’t sing in that kind of show. The loss of all the other original band members was the final nail.
