What’s everyone’s favourite ‘Britpop’ album?

Oasis albums
PcM asked:

I suppose everyone’s gonna say an early Oasis album but i think Elastica’s debut, Suede’s debut and Blur’s modern life is rubbish are really underrated.

At the time of release probably Whats the story morning glory by Oasis,

After having all these albums for over 10 years though the only two that really for me survive the test and can still be listened too from start to finish are:

Mosely Shoals by Ocean Colour Scene
Word Gets Around by the Stereophonics

    Great question dude!!

Definatly Maybe sums up the 90’s and the Britpop generation and it still sounds as fresh as it did in 94. Its a timeless rock n roll album and I think that has been proved by the way that it has transcended through generations.
Im not taking anything away from Elastica, Suede or Blur but their albums will only be known in future by kids that want to know about Britpop or by us forcfeeding it down our kids throats. I think Oasis will continue to be popular for many years.

I’m American and I’ve become a huge fan of the Arctic Monkey’s “Whatever People Say I am, That’s What I’m Not” album. They’re only a bunch of 17 year olds who got guitars for Christmas four or five years ago. They’re really impressive to me.

Parklife, but if we can count the first Suede album as Britpop, I’d definitely have to go with that, I still listen to it loads even now.
