What do you think of this promotional concept by Oasis to promote the new album?

Oasis albums
Dom Hollow asked:

They are teaching the songs from their upcoming album to street buskers, who will then split into groups and play the songs on various street corners in New York.

Do you think it’s a good idea or lame?
I suppose there will be a promotional poster next to each group.

It sure sounds like a lot of fun. If anything, it might make the news and get some attention. Will the performers have CDs or promotional material?

    I love it!

I never buy an album unless I like to listen to the songs a lot. I only ever do that if I’m way familiar. The more you hear good songs and in different mediums, the more you’ll love it. I think it’s clever and it’s bound to work.
