no i don’t consider it as disaster. I think it’s amazing britpop/indie album people just didn’t notice it because all of that Blur/Oasis shite

When the lead single “D’You Know What I Mean” came out people thought it was great.Some reviews were very positive.I remember Q Magazine giving the album a 5 star review.A very rare occurence for them.Others were not so positive.After the album was released and the initial hype around it calmed down, people started realising that it’s not as good as the first two albums.
The problem with that album was that it is too long (72 min).They could have easily edited 20 minutes off it, especially “All Around The World” (9:20).
With some proper editing it could have been an above average album, now it’s merely average.

I seem to remember the music press raving about it at the time. I hated it , but it has grown on me, it was too long, like a lot of albums of the time. There are some good songs on there, it’s better than ‘Don’t Believe The Truth’!

I think it was cool hey, Oasis is a pretty random band, so expect whats cool for you.

All around the world is one of my favourite Oasis songs so I liked it, but you are right, it wasn’t well received – maybe it was overhyped.
