I think the Beatles are really good, but over hyped.

I think Oasis suffers from the “Tom Cruise” effect, meaning their outside behavior blinds people from their true talent. If Oasis didn’t claim to be bigger that “Jesus/God/Beatles” and get banned from airlines and get into bar brawls …. then their image would make them a popular ticket …. Oasis has many brilliant songs ….!! Just my humble opinion.

no way … I’m sorry … comparing albums sold is down right ridiculous …. that just shows you’re popular ….. does that mean that Britney Spears is more talented than Bob Dylan?????

to make it even crazier for you …. I think the song “the importance of being idle” by Oasis is a better tune than any Beatles song ….. not to mention “Supersonic”, “Talk Tonight”, “Underneath the Sky”, “Don’t look back in anger”, “Stop crying your heart out”, “Some might say” and, of course, “Wonderwall” and many many more!

Oasis is amazing… I like them better than The Beatles as well, who I still love.

its your opinion i agree with you who cares what every 1 else thinks its our music genre not theres we listen to it not them just cos they sold more albums dont mean they better they were about for longer and did start a new muisc era so that cant be argued with

seriously, how many times are you gonna ask this.
I’ve always liked Oasis, but they are assssholes and because they are, they will never see the acclaim that the beatles saw. Musicians are only as good as their fans, and they’ve offended too many of them.

The Beatles were the foundation of rock almost everyone knows them I have never heard of Oasis . The Beatles opened the door to all kinds of rock music what has Oasis done besides write a few songs But no you are not Crazy and your not wrong it’s just your Opinion

yep, absolutely, positively insane. if you look at the history of music, the beatles are one of the pioneer bands that, along with elvis, brought rock and roll into the mainstream (e.g. “whites”). individually, they were also some of the top musicians at each of their respective skills, from guitar to drums to songwriting. they also wrote most of their own songs (unlike the “song factory” hits of the 50’s and 60’s from the US…including Elvis, who didn’t write any of his own songs.) also, by the time they came to the US, they already had 4 albums.

while i understand you like Oasis, you can’t compare them to the beatles. it’s like saying peter jackson is a better director than steven spielburg because of lord of the rings or king kong. spielburg is just in a completely different level.

and then, trying to justify oasis as being better than the beatles demeans what oasis is…which is a unique band in their own right. it’s like how in the nba, larry bird and magic were compared to michael jordan, who was then compared to lebron james. this is unfair to the players before, and belittles the players now: they don’t have to be better than the beatles to be good.

yes, for now, cuz the beatles have passed the test of time….and let’s face it i’m biased i grew up with the beatles
