Oasis Albums – Why do people prefer ”(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?” to ”Definitely Maybe”?

Defintely Maybe has more passion, and soul into it. It actually means something. Why do poeple not see this?

I’m listening to a song by them right now, little by little
I actually don’t like Morning glory or definitely maybe….I like the older ones mainly

Definitely Maybe is my favorite Oasis album. I think Morning Glory seems more popular just because more people are aware of it because it has songs that more people know about (Wonderwall, Don’t Look Back in Anger, Champagne Supernova). Morning Glory is an amazing album though. Cast No Shadow is one of my favorite songs.

The tracks on Definitely Maybe are definitely better, but in terms of the musical taste when each was released into the charts, (What’s the story) Morning Glory is much more in keeping with what most people wnat to listen to. Wonderwall was also popularised with the artsy fartsy video.

Personally I prefer Be Here Now, but that’s just me.
