David asked:

This album is so important to me. I discovered it when I was fourteen or so and it simply blew my mind. It, along with The Bends by Radiohead and the first two Oasis albums, led to me falling in love with music in general.

Six years later and I remain a huge fan. I have a particular passion for dear, troubled Peter Doherty, who I always maintain is one of the premiere musicians and songwriters of his generation.

So, here are my top five songs on The Libertines’ self-titled second album:

1. “Campaign of Hate”
2. “The Man Who Would Be King”
3. “Can’t Stand Me Now”
4. “Narcissist”
5. “What Became of the Likely Lads”
First runner-up: “What Katie Did”

Your top 5?

destiny asked:

The past few months I’ve been taking b-sides off singles by my favourite bands (the Verve, Oasis, etc) and then I sort them into my own compilation albums on my Ipod. I even give them their own names as well =P Eg. I took all the b-sides from Be Here Now and called it ‘Was There Then’
I just want to know I’m not crazy and that other people do it also! lol =D

I am rebooting my music and need a hand?

Bill asked:

I typically download an entire artists discography because I like to listen to an entire album. I am looking for some new bands that I can listen to an entire album from. Like it would be a waste if I just owned the hits from the album. It is necessary to own the entire thing. Those are the bands I am looking for. Any ideas?

My favorites include Pink Floyd, Radiohead, Oasis, U2, Green Day, Soundgarden.

For a change, the Beatles, ONCE AGAIN, TOP occupy the election of a musical. Only this time, the source was somewhat unusual: until the Vatican decided to surrender to the talent of Fab4. Check out the full list and discuss the indications “church”, kkkk

6. Michael Jackson – Thriller
7. Paul Simon – Graceland

Who are the top 5 best bands/artists in the world right now?

razzthekid89 asked:

Who, at this very moment in time, holds claim to being the greatest in the world?

I would say:

Kings of Leon: (not because of *** on Fire/Only by The Night (which is a great album) but because of the utter brilliance of the epic first three albums). There is no band of recent times that come near them, they are head and shoulders above everyone else, in a league of their own. If they continue as they have done so far, they will surely be conidered one of the greatest bands ever.

Oasis: Noel is still banging out quality tunes. They seem to get bashed quite a lot these days, undeservedly so. I can’t understand how people can say they are overrated etc. Nobody can deny that Noel is the greatest songwriter of his generation, the amount of top class, groundbreaking tunes he has written over the years is astonishing and Definately Maybe & WTSMG are untouchable. Liam has come into his own aswell recently with a few belters.

Red Hot Chili Peppers/John Frusciante: Frusciante is a musical genius/living legend. The Chili’s kick ass, Frusciante the best guitsrist in the world right now and his solo records are mesmorising. His backing vocals is an art form in itself.

Radiohead: The Bends and Ok Comp are classics and then they go and unleash In Rainbows…unreal.

Stereophonics: Hugely underrated, have churned out some classic albums over the years and Kelly’s voice is awsome.

Raymond asked:

At the recent 2010 Brit Awards, Oasis’ ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ was awarded the greatest British album of the last 30 years. I’d like to see what other people think regarding the greatest British album of the last 3 decades, because there is a mighty large amount of masterful British albums that have come out since 1980 that I would place above the aformentioned album.

BQ: Worst British album ever?
BQ2: Top 5 British albums of all-time?
