If John Lennon was still alive, what other artists would he most likely compile music with? and why?
Example:
1) Bono – similar world political views, both have resonating voices that would compliment each other’s styles
2) Paul McCartney – Page and Plant did it!!! (just not use the Beatles name)
3) Oasis – publicity/gimmick
4) The Rembrandts – publicity/gimmick
5) Elton John – in 1974, “Whatever Get’s You Through the Night” worked.
6) Jeff Lynne (from ELO) he did a lot of work with The Beatles Anthology albums, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr stuff…
7) Ozzy Osbourne – they wear similar styled glasses, plus Ozzy lists Lennon as one of his biggest influences.
Julian Lennon – why not?
9) Pete Best (Original Beatle drummer)
10) David Bowie – merely for more “Fame! – Fame!”

This is a pretty underrated Oasis song, from an underrated album.
Magic Pie – Oasis
Whaddaya think of the song?
Mr. Pink, I agree with you. Everyone once in a while someone will recognize Wonderwall or Champagne Supernova, but that’s all. They are really underrated over here.
Lily: If you think Liam is full of himself you should read some of Noel Gallaghers interviews. They ***** me up. He is not discrete at all and is brutally honest.
“It seems unlikely that the Pope, known for his love of Mozart and who once described rock music as the work of the Devil, enjoys Carlos Santana’s Black Magic Woman or Oasis’s Wonderwall on an iPod in the privacy of his study.
Yesterday, however, the Vatican gave its imprimatur not only to Santana and Oasis, but also to the Beatles, Michael Jackson, Paul Simon, U2, Pink Floyd and Fleetwood Mac in a list of approved pop albums published in L’Osservatore Romano, the Vatican newspaper.
Last year the Vatican advised the faithful which films to watch, finding merit even in Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. This year, because Europe faced a season of mediocre songs at music festivals, the newspaper explained, it was time to recommend an antidote in the form of classic pop milestones.”

This rather surprised me today.
talk about taking a fad too far!! just cos of the video that went round the internet, Rickrolling
What about all the real artists who were around longer than 3 days or so?
Led Zep, U2, Beatles, Oasis, The Who, Pink Floyd, even Michael Jackson sold millions of albums. The list is nearing eternal before I even consider Astley.
who do you think should have been nominated/won?
If I was him I’d be embarrassed, I certainly wouldn’t think I deserved it!
